Personal data, or personal information, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified.

Below we explain what different kinds of personal data we may collect about you, the different methods used to collect data from and about you, and the purpose we process it for.

  • We collect your name, contact details and relevant information required to process a screening request within ‘Enquire about this film’ and ‘Film enquiry form’. This allows us to process and respond to your query. This data may be passed on to third parties to enable us to do this.
  • We collect your name, email, role, and organisation when signing up to our industry e-newsletter. This enables us to ensure that you’re eligible to receive this and for us to subscribe you to the correct mailing list for your territory. You have the right to withdraw consent to marketing at any time by contacting us.
  • Contact forms and email links: should you choose to contact us using an email link on our Contact Us page, none of the data that you supply will be stored by the Website(s) or be passed to / processed by any of our third-party data processors.
  • Email newsletter: If you choose to join our email newsletter, the email address that you submit to us will be shared with Mailjet (a third-party data processor) who provide us with email marketing services. Your email address will remain within Mailjet’s database for as long as we continue to use Mailjet’s services for email marketing or until you specifically request removal from the list. You can do this at any time by unsubscribing using the unsubscribe links contained in any email newsletters that we send you or by requesting removal via email. When requesting removal via email, please send your email to us using the email account that is subscribed to the mailing list.
  • While your email address remains within the Mailjet database, you will receive periodic newsletter-style emails from us.
  • Under data protection law, we must have a specific lawful basis for the processing of your personal data. We rely on several lawful bases for the different activities and purposes described above, as follows: Some processing is necessary for the performance of the contract (i.e., our Terms of Use) between you and us.
  • Where it is necessary for our legitimate interests (or those of a third party) and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests.
  • Where we need to comply with a legal obligation, or if the processing is in the public interest.
  • Sometimes we will process your personal data based on your consent.
